As always, I will remind the reader that any review is merely a single individual's personal opinion. The only definitive review for you should be your own.

INTRODUCTION:

Just Cause 2 is a third person shooter and sandbox action game set on a fictional Southeast Asian island called Panau. There have been many, many takes on the open-world action game formula since GTA, but Just Cause 2 distinguishes itself from the pack with its own highly distinctive gameplay mechanics and some of the most amazing action ever seen in a videogame. If you've ever wanted to be an elite G.I. Joe/James Bond/Secret agent/NAVY SEAL/Mercenary/Terminator/Action movie hero hybrid all rolled into one, but didn't want a convoluted or unnecessarily clunky interface to get in the way of the fun of taking part in crazy, over-the-top action sequences, then Just Cause 2 will scratch that itch and then some. Because of the complexity of what you're capable of doing in the game (don't let that fool you though - the interface is paradoxically simple and highly intuitive,) it is necessary for me to separate the "Gameplay" section of this review into two parts: Gameplay Mechanics, and Gameplay Structure, with the latter detailing the mission structure and impetus to keep playing, while the former describes HOW you play the game. Both are equally important in this case.

The Modern Warfare 2 'Stimulus Package' DLC will be released March 30, and will include the new (And old) multiplayer maps: Crash, Overgrown, Bailout, Storm and Salvage. Both Crash and Overgrown are classic maps from the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare, and are a welcome change from the regular Modern Warfare 2 maps. The DLC will cost 1200 ($15).

Here is the Super Mario Galaxy 2 box art released by Nintendo earlier today.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be released on May 23rd, of this year, just under two months.

There is a rumor stemming from a few box shots sent in to Joystiq of what appears to be the third installment in the F.E.A.R. series. Instead of reading F.E.A.R. 3, the box reads F.3.A.R.

The Box shots also turned up on a gaming forum called neoGAF as a shot from a Spanish Magazine, with the words "proximo numero". (Which means "next issue" or "next number").

When Joystiq contacted publisher Warner Bros. Interactive to comment on this, they were told by a representative "we have no info to share at this time."

So as you can see this could go either way, either this information was dropped for marketing, and to get the hype started for F.E.A.R. 3, or it could just be a rumor started on the internet.

As soon as any more information about F.E.A.R. 3 or F.3.A.R. gets discovered, it will be posted.

Final Fantasy XIII Tips and Tricks

• After each battle, your HP is restored completely.
• Unlike in a lot of other previous Final Fantasies, all enemies in Final Fantasy XIII are visible on screen, so it is possible to avoid encounters, as long as you can get around the enemy. Though there will be situations where you won't be able to get around an enemy, and will have to fight them.
• There are two types of equipment: weapons and accessories.
• There are three character stats: HP (Health), STR, (Strength) and MAG (Magic).
• Power and barrier smokes are very valuable in a few boss battles later in the game, they save you a lot of time so try to save them if you can.

Battle stars: After you complete a battle, your performance will be rated with a star ranking.

The ranking you get depends on several different different factors:

- Target Time (The time you have to complete the battle)
- Battle Duration (How quickly you completed the battle)
- Initiative Bonus (Point multiplier)
- Points Per Second

The points you get depend on how quickly you killed the enemies, damage you dish out and take, and a few other factors.

Battle Star Rankings have three benefits:
1. It influences the drops you get after a battle
2. Beating the last boss with five stars gives you a trophy
3. Beating all of the Missions with five stars nets you a trophy and a PS3 theme

Bioshock 2 is going to be receiving an update this thursday with the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack. The pack will be out on March 11 and will cost 400 microsoft points ($5) on Xbox live and GFWL, and $5 on PSN.

Here is what is included in the Bioshock 2 Sinclair Solutions Test Pack:

• Five additional masks (some only available after a player achieves a rank of 41 or higher)
• Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
• A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
• New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
• 20 new trials (some only available after a player achieves a rank of 41 or higher)
• So don't forget to pick it up once it's out on March 11!

Portal 2 was announced by Valve and was said to have a "two-player co-op mode with its own campaign featuring two new playable characters. There has not been any other news about the game yet, except that it will be released at full retail price. Portal 2 is set to be released this holiday season.

Bethesda has announced that the april issue of Official Xbox Magazine will devote its cover story to the game. The magazine will contain 8 pages of New Vegas information, as well as a bonus DVD that will feature some exclusive gamer pics.

Look for the magazine to hit the stands next week.

Say what you want, the original Test Drive Unlimited was an incredibly underrated game. Sure, the driving physics were a bit off, and the HDR system was poor compared to todays standards, but the game was fun. And isn't the fun factor the most important thing?

The huge world, high resolution graphics, countless spans of freeways, roads, countryside, cities, etc. and the huge amount of cars and races that could be won all made for an incredible driving experience. Driving alongside a friend in the multiplayer mode wasn't bad either.

So you can see why I am excited to post that Atari recently announced that Test Drive Unlimited 2 will be released this fall for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC! Test Drive Unlimited 2 will improve on it's predecessor by offering realistic vehicle damage, weather and day/night cycles, while keeping the original huge open world racing feel of the original.

The Blur multiplayer beta will be going live on March 8. Bizarre Creation's stated that the upcoming racer will be out on May 25, of this year. Details can be found in the game's official blog located here (along with a few more screen shots). Unfortunately the game will be delayed until May 28 in Europe. Blur will be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
