New Halo: Reach Multiplayer Game Mode Information

1UP received information today about the Halo: Reach multiplayer game modes Headhunter, Stockpile, Generator Defense and Invasion.

Headhunter has the Spartans collecting a skull for each kill, this skull then needs to be deposited into a moving skull receptacle. You can carry multiple skulls at the same time, as well as use abilities.

Generator Defense has the Spartans defending a trio of generators while Elites storm up a hill to destroy them. In the Beta, Generator Defense takes place exclusively on Overlook. Defenders are at the top of the hill while the attackers try to fight their way up.

Stockpile will see two teams fighting over four neutral flags. You can only hold said flags at the end of each of the round's five minutes.

Multiplayer designer Lars Bakken noted, "If you see the other team holding three flags and there's 30 seconds left, you better start sending a couple dudes over to at least get them out of the capture point when the time runs out."

Not much information is known about the Invasion game mode, only that it will take place on Boneyard and will feature a lot of vehicles with plenty of space to get around.

The Halo: Reach beta starts May 3rd.
