Unveiling of GTA V

Grand Theft Auto V was originally announced by Rockstar Games on October 25, 2011. They released a one and a half minute trailer that revealed the game is set in the city of Los Santos (Rockstars take on Los Angeles, California. A bit after the trailer was released, GTA V was officially announced in a Take-Two interactive press statement.

"Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created." Rockstar also noted that GTA V is "a bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer [..] focusing on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California."
