Microsoft has finally listened to us gamers and dropped the DRM from Xbox One! In an announcement on their offiial website, Microsoft has stated that the Xbox One will no longer require an internet connection just to play games and you will be able to trade in, lend, resell, gift and rent disc based games just like you do today. You can also download games from Xbox Live on the day of release and then play them offline with no restrictions. In addition, all regional restrictions have been lifted.
Today is a good day. I think Microsoft made the right decision here and I am glad they realized these DRM policies were too much. I hope future companies take note of this, and not try to force always online DRM on gaming consoles..
